YOUTH ACTIVITIES:

Welcome to the First Baptist Church of Crothersville youth department!

God has blessed this church with many activities for all the children in the community. We have several volunteers that are ready to enrich your children's lives. Our main goal as a youth ministry is to lead kids to Christ and we do this by getting children involved in the outreach programs that we offer here at First Baptist.

We have a Wednesday morning breakfast where they can come and enjoy a nice hot breakfast with ALL the trimmings! During this time we give them a nice devotion before they are off to school. You may drop your school age children off at the door and we will give them a devotion, feed them and then walk them to their classrooms.

We also hold many annual events like Vacation Bible School. The Harvest Party will be in October. We also have spiritual growth programs for those kids that are ready to grow their lives for the Lord. These programs include children's church, children's choir, Baptist Youth Groups that focus on scripture memorization, prayer lives, and their relationship with God.

During the year children can go to church camp in the summertime.

At First Baptist we spend time with the children of this community. We know that they are our future and we would like you to come join us in our youth activies and fellowship.

Our new children's curriculum is called "Team Kid Jesus' IMs" and the "IMs" stands for "Instant Messages from Jesus." The curriculum is from Lifeway Resources and comes with DVDs as well. It has activity books and DVDs with short movie cuts of different missionaries on the mission field ministering to other cultures.

Our former children's curriculum focused chronologically on the characters of the Old Testament in order to bring a solid foundation of the Old Testament. The new curriculum focuses upon Jesus and His ministry in the New Testament and how we can apply his word to our lives.
